2005 was the best year of my life as well as the most painful. fullbleed got way bigger than i ever thought it would, i had the opportunity to work on some awesome releases, i had knee surgery twice as both of my ACLs were torn and had been for 6 years, i fell in love hard, i explored / photographed some amazing places, i had my photos featured in a few publications, i converted my entire wardrobe to american apparel and last but not least, tom from myspace sent me a nice message after i made fun of his success. best releases of 2005 (can't name just ten, this was a good year) the fall of troy - doppelganger bear vs shark - terrorhawk a wilhelm scream - ruiner page france - hello dear wind minus the bear - menos el oso pelican - the fire in our throats will beckon the thaw criteria - when we break john ralston - needle bed latterman - no matter where we go the letters organize - dead rhythm machine red sparrowes - at the soundless dawn spitalfield - stop doing bad things darkest hour - undoing ruin smoke or fire - above the city troubled hubble - making beds in a burning house top songs of 2005 kelly clarkson - since u been gone the blackout pact - we drink so you don't have to death cab for cutie - i will follow you into the dark the fall of troy - laces out, dan! kevin devine - cotton crush bear vs shark - catamaran rory allen phillips - faking a feeling darkest hour - sound of surrender john ralston - keep me modern life is war - d.e.a.d.r.a.m.o.n.e.s. latterman - yo, get into it criteria - prevent the world the bled - the last american cowboy best releases that didn't actually come out rory allen phillips - mixtape2000.2005 (free download) vaux - beyond virtue, beyond vice worst album of the year aiden - nightmare anatomy shows of the year (note, i went to maybe a dozen shows this year as opposed to the three dozen i used to) the appleseed cast, chin up chin up, call it arson the methadones, a wilhelm scream, the lawrence arms most anticipated for 2006 saves the day - sound the alarm the lawrence arms - oh! calcutta! set your goals - full length band to look out for in 2006 the casual lean worst trends of the year kids naming themselves "_____! at the disco" on myspace, yeah, i get it. finding a decent pair of jeans with buttons instead of zippers, worst. kids dying and their myspace pages serving as eulogies, scary! dudes with makeup, this has gotta stop. both of my knees needing surgery, ouch. scariest moment of the year hbo sending me a letter for illegally downloading curb your enthusiasm. curb your enthusiasm line of the year "worshipping a guy? isn't that a little gay?" best video to debut on the internet http://www.collegehumor.com/movies/160829 worst moment in reality tv kim not even making the top three in america's next top model, c'mon! best moment in reality tv randal completely pwning rebecca and trump in the last few seconds of the apprentice, holy shit! dissapointment of the year ebay cancelling my account at the end of the fall out boy artwork auction. i put an illustration of fob up to raise money for breast cancer victims and cancelled the bids of people who were attempting to sabotage the auction, who then complained to ebay and shut my account down. thanks guys! worst email of the year My 17 year old niece committed suicide by hanging (used a scarf) this summer. We believe her boyfriend was an EMO follower and glorified suicide in a poetic way. After looking at your website and seeing the very disturbing tee-shirt that has the man hanging from the lamp post by his tie I need to ask you, Please enlighten me: Is suicide something that is accepted amongst each others peers in this culture. Thanks Mary C best email of the year Hello, You're site is pretty funny but it must have taken quite a while to make it, I mean the fact that you actually sitted and made this site is pretty pathetic if you ask me. For the record I think emo is a great genre of music but not a lifestyle. Anyway whether you're queer or not what I wanted to say is 'nice site' comic strip of the year the perry bible fellowship store bought mix of the year trader joe's pumpkin bread

"bear vs shark - terrorhawk" is the best over all string of words on almost any non-death metal/non-ted nugent album. I'm not sure there is more more bad ass in the music industry... at least not until Eagles of Death Metal come out with their new album, "Death By Sexy". It might sound queer, but its fucking badass.
